Combat in Creator Chronicles

Parties, battle logs, mood, and Hall of Battle as asynchronous PvP.

Combat and Parties

Combat in Creator Chronicles is dungeon parties you send from the village, not a street brawler you steer with WASD. You form a group, press F, and keep building while they fight. This page covers party setup, wipes, mood, first-clear village points, haste buffs from the V5 demo notes, and Hall of Battle. The campaign is single-player. Hall of Battle is asynchronous PvP against other masters’ parties in the 14 September 2026 full build, not a shared live dungeon and not a shared raid.

If you still need the first-hour village loop, go back to Getting Started. If you need the cave itself, use Dungeons.

Forming a party

Hidden Swamp wants three members at level 1–4. Fill tank, healer, and damage before you fill “whoever is standing near the gate.” Your guild master is one of those three if you send them. A glass master on Conqueror is a level-reset waiting to happen.

Parties can run in parallel. One group in the swamp does not freeze the farm. Pause with Space if you need to change a loadout; speed keys 1/F1–3/F3 only hurry a fight you already understand. Controls lists the rest.

Use the party planner and the party tier list when the roster is larger than three. Class kits sit on Character Creation and rankings on the class tier list.

Wipes, logs, and first clears

When a party wipes, open the battle log. The log is the only honest teacher in the game. Look for a tank who died first, a healer who ran out of mana, or damage that never stopped the extra mob. Then change one thing: potion plan, class mix, or dungeon timing. Re-sending the same three people into the same wipe is how Conqueror quits happen.

A first clear grants a village skill point (a village trait point). Spend it on the village, not as a panic button in the log. That point is why Village buildings and this page stay linked: combat grows the town, and the town feeds combat.

Loot such as ribs and herbs comes home from the cave. Herbs want fields and an alchemy lab. Ribs are food value, not a reason to skip the farm.

Haste, potions, and Party Strategy

Demo V5 notes call out two haste tools worth building around. Warrior Rage stacks haste. Hunter Rapid Fire is a haste buff. Cooking and Engineering professions also add haste +40, so a Warrior cook or a Hunter engineer is not a joke lineup. See jobs if you are assigning work after the fight.

Potion use in the full build is a Party Strategy setting, not a hope. That tool arrives with the 14 September 2026 launch. Until then, brew in the alchemy lab, keep herbs locked on the auction, and do not sell the stack your healer needs. Manual-craft with a right-click if you need one flask before the next send.

Mood and Conqueror risk

Glass-hearted members may quit after dungeon deaths on Conqueror. Beginner and Adventurer disable permanent leave and level reset. Conqueror resets a dead member to level 1 and allows mood to become a permanent leave. Read mood and Recruit members before you treat a wipe as free.

World events fire from mood, level-ups, and village growth. A tavern in the full launch will lean on those events. Housing still does more than a speech: one house per member, bread in the inventory, and a healer in the party.

Hall of Battle (full launch)

Hall of Battle is not a live-queue with friends. You train a party at home, then pit it against parties raised by other guild masters on their own time. That is asynchronous PvP. Ranking seasons come with the same 14 September 2026 build. Nothing about Hall of Battle lets a friend walk into your Hidden Swamp.

If you came here looking for live multiplayer, stop. The chronicle is single-player management with an optional async arena later. Official timing sits on launch notes. Demo notes sit on demo.

Send cheap parties first. A wipe you can read is worth more than a lucky clear you cannot repeat. Keep one tank, one healer, and one damage dealer in the swamp while the rest of the village farms. The battle log is the second village; ignore it and Conqueror will empty the first.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for new guild masters.

Is Creator Chronicles a shared live dungeon?

No. The campaign is single-player. Hall of Battle is asynchronous PvP in the full build. See launch notes for what 14 September 2026 adds.

What do I do after a wipe?

Read the battle log, then change party, potions, or dungeon. Dungeons covers Hidden Swamp; mood covers quit risk.

Can several parties fight at once?

Yes. Parties run in parallel while you keep building. Housing limits how many people you can send; see Recruit members.

What is Party Strategy?

A full-launch tool for potion use in parties. It is not a demo control. Until then, brew in the lab described on Village buildings.

Which classes have haste buffs?

Warrior Rage stacks haste and Hunter Rapid Fire is a haste buff in V5 demo notes. Class kits are on Character Creation.
