Village Rebuild in Creator Chronicles
Houses, farms, auction, roads, and the north mine after the fire.
The village in Creator Chronicles starts as a burned plot, not a finished town. You demolish wreckage, place buildings that cost more gold each time, and grow a guild that has to sleep somewhere. This page is the building, land, auction, road, and mine guide. Pair it with Getting Started for the first-hour order, with Character Creation if difficulty is not locked, and with Recruit members so you never place a house you cannot fill or fill a roster you cannot house.
The campaign is single-player. The auction looks like other players listing bread and ores because the game is a game-within-a-game; those listings are not live multiplayer. Hall of Battle is a later combat mode, not a shared village.
Plots, gold, and the HUD
Pause with Space before you spend. The top-left HUD tracks member count, village level, visitors, gold, and time. Demolish burned houses first: each one pays a 100 gold chronicle reward and frees a tile. Do not restore every ruin on sight. Every extra building is more expensive than the last, so a second workshop you cannot staff is a gold sink.
Hotkeys that matter on this screen are B for build, G for guild, and H for herbs. Controls lists the rest. Right-click a production building to force one manual craft when the queue is too slow for a loaf or a potion.
Core buildings
- House: one house per member. This is a hard cap. Invite after the roof exists, not before.
- Farm and field: food and herbs. Fields feed alchemy. A farm with no fields is a pretty lawn.
- Alchemy lab: turns herbs into dungeon potions. Place it after the first Hidden Swamp clear if gold is tight, sooner if you already have an herbalist.
- Windmill: food throughput once miners and extra members arrive.
- Auction: buy a bread loaf early; sell surplus later. Lock materials you still need so visitors cannot empty your herb pile.
- Roads: double walk speed. Cheap compared with a mine, and they stop members from wasting the day crossing mud.
- Blacksmith: waits on the ore chain. Do not rush it before copper is flowing.
- Mine: north only. You must buy north land (about 10,000 gold) and keep miners fed.
- Tavern: full build on 14 September 2026. It is the mood building, not a demo requirement.
Land expansion is a gold wall, not a decoration. Buy north when you can feed miners, not when the map looks empty. Sketch layouts with the village planner if you are about to drop 10,000 gold on dirt.
Auction, locks, and visitors
Buy bread before you buy vanity. The first loaf is a worker enable, not a snack. After herbs start coming in, lock them. The auction will happily sell the pile you meant for potions. Visitors on the HUD are a income hint, not a command to list everything.
Sell crafted surplus: extra bread, extra low potions, extra copper once tin is the bottleneck. Do not sell the last stack of a reagent you need for Hidden Swamp. The jobs page and profession tier list tell you which members make the goods you are listing.
North mine and the ore chain
The mine is north only. Budget land, roads, food, and a miner with Mining. Mona is a named tank who also mines; that double duty is why she is an early invite on the recruit page. Ore climbs copper, then tin, then silver, then gold. Each step wants more food and more time. A blacksmith without silver is a building that stares at you.
If miners idle, check bread and pathing before you buy another expansion. Roads at 2x walk speed often fix “the mine is broken” reports. Manual-craft with right-click if you need one bar now.
After the first dungeon
The first Hidden Swamp clear grants a village trait point. Spend it after you read Dungeons, because the point is a village bonus, not a panic heal. Alchemy lab and windmill usually outrank a second decorative house. Combat gear still comes from parties running in parallel while you build; see Combat.
World events fire from mood, level-ups, and village growth. A tavern in the full launch will lean on those mood events. Until 14 September 2026, housing, food, and locked herbs do more for morale than a building you do not have.
Do not race the north mine on an empty stomach. Ten thousand gold of land with no bread is a hole in the chronicle. Expand when the HUD shows gold you can spare after houses, a farm, fields, and a loaf in reserve. The village that reaches silver ore is the village that already learned to pause.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for new guild masters.
Why can't I invite another guild member?
You need one house per member. Build housing first using this page, then invite on the recruit walkthrough.
Where is the mine?
The mine is north only and wants a land purchase around 10,000 gold plus food for miners. Plan the spend with the village planner.
Why did the auction sell my herbs?
Listings are not filtered unless you lock materials. Lock herb stacks before you return to Getting Started loops or Dungeons.
When should I place the alchemy lab?
After you have fields and an herbalist, ideally around the first Hidden Swamp clear. Potion use in parties is covered on Combat.
Is the tavern in the demo?
The tavern is a full-launch building for mood on 14 September 2026. See launch notes and mood.
